Sasha and Matt, Oahu Elopement

December 21, 2024

Oahu, Hawaii Elopement

When Sasha & Matt first reached out to me about their Hawaiian elopement, I was so excited for them!! Hawaii is literally breathtaking and I knew it would be so fun working with both of them. We got the entire elopement planned out in advance with their ceremony being by the 4 Seasons Ko’Olina and then we would go take photos around the island after the elopement!

We started the day at Sasha’s hotel room with her getting ready and she literally looked so pretty! I did some detail shots of Sasha’s rings, shoes, and other trinquets, and I’m obsessed with how all of those turned out. We then did a first look with Sasha and her dad and it was so sweet to be able to capture that moment. After that we walked down to the first spot location where Matt was waiting for Sasha and did their first look there. Matt was so excited to see Sasha and it was so fun to be able to capture that. It was then time for the ceremony. They had set up a private ceremony on Secret Beach (right by the Ko’Olina’s). It was beautiful and we even had some views of the mountains! The ceremony was amazing to photograph and you could really tell how excited they both were to get married. We then took photos after the ceremony with both of their parents and the officiant, and then did some photos of just the two of them.

One of our main concerns with the elopement was the weather. It had said it was going to rain earlier in the week, but when it came to the day of, it said the rain wasn’t supposed to happen until 7pm. So we drove over to the wet side of the island and it was full on pouring. I gave Sasha and Matt the option to try to wait it out or reschedule, but they wanted to go for it and we did!! It gave off total Notebook vibes and they were just incredible to work with. We went to 4 different spots through the east part of Oahu and we got some stunning shots even though we were all soaking wet. Sasha & Matt were seriously incredible to work with and I’m so glad I got to document such a fun day for the two of them! Highly recommend eloping in Hawaii!
